A safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment where autistic girls aged 11 to 16 can develop essential life skills, build social connections, and reach their full potential.
A Life Skills Learning Centre For Autistic Girls from 11-16 Years
Providing a Safe Place for Learning
Ashley’s House offers a provision supporting autistic girls for up to 18 hours a week.
We here at Ashley’s House Life Skills Centre offer a hybrid approach combining structured learning with co-productive elements which can be highly effective for autistic girls, providing a balance of routine and flexibility that caters to their unique needs and strengths. By fostering a supportive, personalised, and collaborative learning environment, this model allows autistic teen girls to take ownership of their learning, build social and emotional skills, and thrive both academically and personally.
Our keyworkers/mentors will identify the type of thinker and learner each pupil is allowing them to develop a program for her that ensures their success.
Whether a girl is verbal or minimal speaking, we will customise a program that meets her needs. Through a myriad of approaches, we teach, support and guide girls to meet their own individual potential and personal best.
Our life skills programme aims to engage the girls in active learning focusing on life skills that contribute to their fulfilled futures.
At Ashley’s House, we believe that all girls can thrive when they are in the right environment and given the right support, If they are not progressing as well as they can and should, we work collaboratively to identify and remedy any obstacles to their success.
